CBMIE Signs Quarterly Contract with XCOAL

On December 14, 2010, Ernie Thrasher, CEO of XCOAL, the US largest coking coal supplier, visited China National Building Materials Import & Export Corporation (CBMIE) for the fifth time in the year. Huang Anzhong, President of CBMIE, met with the visitors. The two sides reviewed the cooperation in 2010 and had an in-depth discussion about the matters concerning the cooperation in 2011.
The two sides discussed about the first-quarter cooperation and signed a 600,000t contract. Over the year, they deepened mutual trust and defined the strategic goal of establishing a longstanding partnership. In 2011, they will further learn from each other and cement cooperation.
As an international trade and logistics platform under CNBM, CBMIE has achieved remarkable results in the coal industry in less than two years since it set foot in the industry and is expected to import over 6 million tons of coal in 2010.
