Song Zhiping Honored among “Top 50 Most Influential Business Leaders” by "Fortune"

On March 29,Fortunereleased the list of “50 most influential business leaders in China”. Song Zhiping, Chairman of China National Building Materials Group (CNBM) and Chairman of China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation (Sinopharm), has been listed for the fourth time with his excellent management talent and vision.
Under the leadership of Chairman Song Zhiping, CNBM and Sinopharm have given full play to the influence and driving force of the central enterprises, innovated the development concept, and changed the development mode. The two enterprises have not only realized development by leaps and bounds, but also led dramatic changes of the traditional building materials and national pharmaceutical industries, and promoted transformation, development and restructuring of the industries. CNBM has developed from a company with an operating income of more than RMB 2 billion yuan a decade ago to the current only enterprise of the Chinese building materials industry listed among the Global Top 500. In 2011, its operating income reached about RMB200 billion yuan; its successful experience of joint reorganization and management integration has been included by the Harvard Business School as successful cases. Meanwhile, Sinopharm has increased its operating income from more than RMB 40 billion yuan to more than RMB120 billion yuan last year, thereby becoming a medicine health industry group with strong competitiveness in domestic scale, scientific research, industrial chain and network coverage and commitment to the national pharmaceutical strategic tasks.
