CNBM signs China-German Green Building Project

On October 10, witnessed by the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, Song Zhiping, Chairman of China National Building Materials Group Corporation (CNBM) signed a green building cooperative project with Lothers, Chairman of AGN, a German corporation, in the German Chancellery in Berlin. The signing ceremony is one of the key tasks of signing “China-Germany Key Economical and Technological Projects” during Li’s visit to Germany.
The project highly matches the China-German discussion on energy saving, high efficiency and environmental protection. It is CNBM’s important measure to promote the "three new" strategy of new materials, pre-fab housing and new energy. According to the agreement, relied on AGN’s green building concept of “energy efficiency”, the parties, combining CNBM’s new building constructing and marketing advantages in China, will jointly promote the development of green building in the domestic and foreign markets.
According to Song Zhiping, in recent years, CNBM has conducted merger and reorganization with German companies in the field of wind power and solar energy, which lifted the group to the international advanced level. German enterprise’s philosophy of environmental protection, managerial system and technological innovation advantage strongly boost CNBM’S "three new" strategy. This agreement, lifting the cooperation from the primary level of importing products and technology to complete system and advanced idea, will promote the group’s healthy and sustainable development themed with green energy, green building materials, green building, and make important contributions to China's urban construction, housing industrialization, green building industry development and the China-German bilateral economical and technological cooperation.
Before the signing ceremony, Song led the CNBM delegation to visit the China Embassy in Germany, which received a warm reception from Ambassador Shi Mingde. Shi gave high praise on the group’s development. He believed that the cooperation with the AGN group complied with the government discussion, and would have significant impact on the economical and technological cooperation and development of the two countries.
CNBM delegation was also invited to participate in the 7th China-German Forum for Economic and Technological Cooperation Forum held by the National Development and Reform Commission and the German Department of Economy and Energy. The forum is a high-tech cooperation mechanism under the framework of the China-German discussions, which has cultivated several China-German high-tech cooperation models. Themed with innovation, environmental protection and energy efficiency, it attracted more than 300 participants from the German government, enterprises and scientific research institutions.
In Germany, Song had a talk with Peter, German Congressman and former Minister of Ministry of Transportation, and exchanged ideas on current situation and reform of the state-owned enterprises in China and Germany. Song also led the delegation to visit AGN’s headquarters in Osnabruck, and the production line of Goldbeck, a famous German PC component manufacturer.
